Quick Summary
A user filed their ITR-1 with incorrect bank details and updated them before processing. However, the updated details are not reflected, and they received a notification that their refund failed due to the incorrect account number. Other users advised raising a grievance and contacting the Income Tax department. The refund may still be reissued to the correct account if updated in their system, but the user needs to follow up.

You should made a grievance at income tax portal regarding this matter otherwise if you update it before processing of ITR then it might be that the refund should be at correct account
Yes Sourav Bhai, I had updated the correct bank account number before processing the ITR. My question is after updated the correct bank details why it is not corrected in ITR (showing old incorrect bank details). If payment will be refunded to my updated correct bank account, then no issues. else should I need to do something?
You should contact to grievance officer of income tax department regarding this matter contact number is available on income tax portal.. I think this is system fault
ITR will not get corrected. Only bank details for refund will get updated separately in their database.
Dear Friends, I had been updated the correct bank details also sent an email to Grievance Cell. But, recently I have received below sms
"Refund Issued for PAN AJGXXXXX4D for AY 2020-21 has failed due to Incorrect A/C No, for reissue please use online services"
What should I do further? pls assist me.

Dear Mohanraj ji
