Its very astonishing to learn Aadhar (being unique identity of an Indian), getting linked to someone else's PAN !!!

Write an application to your Jurisdictional ITO to link your correct aadhar and de-link wrong one. Submit a copy of your PAN and Aadhar card for his/her perusal

I am also facing the same issue, seems like a problem with PAN data.

You are able to get it corrected?

Did you get it correct tarandeep?

ANY UPDATE ON THIS TOPIC THEN PLEASE SHARE I ALSO STUCKED LIKE THIS..

Agree with Mr Rambhia. I am quite surprised that your PAN got liked to wrong aadhar number. surprise

This seems is possible only if a person has two Aadhaars, which is impossible. For this reason every person should see to it that his aadhar is linked to his PAN ASAP

this happended because IT department issued same PAN to two people with same father name and date of birth(only that :), but this scenario can easily happen), and during aadhaar linking people used find your pan and then linked it. Any department can claim anything, but who ensured their softwares worked properly during all theses times.

I AM ALSO FACING THE SAME ISSUE PLEASE PROVIDE UPDATE IF ANY ONE SOLVED IT OR CONTACT ME ON MY EMAIL ID AB.THECASTLIAN @ GMAIL.COM

Unless you inform the same to Department/CPC, how can it will get rectified........

Give a written application with copy of your Aadhar copy to your jurisdictional ITO, and take its achnowledgement.

Write a complaint under....... e-Nivaran >>> Submit Grievance >>>> Other ...... and repeat the same matter with CPC......

Other than above..... one cannot do anything more.

Sir, I raised this issue many times with IT Department.

Filed two written complaints to IT PRO, queens road, Bangalore, no action.

Raised many online grievance requests, response is below

"Dear Taxpayer, processing of your return for the said AY has been completed. Intimation has been sent you by registered email-id. Further, it is not necessary to link Aadhaar  with PAN." , response from CPC-ITR

"please try to link it again with the correct adhar number. if there is any variation in name or dob or anything then apply for change to adhar center and again try. it is not possible to link wrong adhar with the pan since all data in both adhar and pan should be same. if problem againg persist then contact to the efiling hepline." , reply from AO(ITO).

What I can do now? Any help will be appreciated.

The first reply received by you doesn't correlate the issue.......... so, don't get mixed up.........

As suggested in second reply........... please try to link it again with the correct adhar number.....

If already wrong aadhar liked to your PAN.......... re-write to de-link that wrong aadhar number with your PAN........

If you have acknowledgent number of the request given with any follow-up nos with correct footings......... you can report the in-action about the grivence at  https://pgportal.gov.in/pgp5/grm.aspx  GRIEVANCE REDRESS MECHANISM

Thanks for the reply.

My PAN is already linked to wrong aadhaar.

So you are saying first raise a grievance to delink the wronly linked aadhaar ?

Really anything happens throught this system https://pgportal.gov.in/pgp5/grm.aspx, earlier I rasied the issue there, but no reply.

If you approach is systematic & to the point (without any mixture)....... all these system does work. Here it should start with ITO......... & everything should be on paper with acknowledgement........

Thank you, let me give a try....

My experience says......... if your approach is correct....... and have patience.... such things are bound to get resolved  .........  Good Luck.........
