Daily working hours as per Indian law
As per the Factories Act 1948, the maximum working time per day is 9 hrs and per week is 48 hrs. Maximum time without break is 5 hrs. Thereafter an interval of 30 minutes is mandatory. The maximum time span for work including interval per day is 10hrs 30 minutes. In addition weekly off of one day is statutory.
