working abroad and double taxation avoidance

hi

I am planning to move to europe for work in december. I would like to know about my tax liabilities on my income abroad. Though I would be paying taxes there as a full-time employee, I guess that i am supposed to declare my global income and liable to pay taxes in india as for the current FY2010-11 I will be a resident indian. But the country where I am going has a double taxation avoidance treaty with India so I expect I need not pay double taxes. Can anyone please clarify that?

Apart from that, will I be able to maintain and operate my saving account in India from there or it is mandatory to opn up a NRE account? Is there any tax liability if I transfer money from my account in Europe to mine or my parents' indian savings account?

Thanks

regards

PB

first of all make sure that any dtaa(tax treaty) exist or not btwn india n europe

Yes you can avail the benifit of double taxation treaties.

it is mandatory to opn up a NRE account once you out of India.

There is no tax liability if you  transfer money from your account in Europe to your or your parents' indian savings account?
