Being a FCA and in industry for long, i still wonder why CA is considered to be the only and best option in commerce?
There are so many upcoming courses which are getting so much recognition but we still wants to follow that standard path.
Is this the fear of doing anything new? But Even CA was new once, someone tried and now it is a recognized degree.
Dont be part of "bheed" ( crowd), stand out guys.

I agree to you,The onus is on senior people like you to guide the youth before opting to the course.

Yeah of course you shouldnt do a course just because everybody is pursuing it. But you shouldnt also choose a course just for the sake of doing something new and different. "Do what you love and love what you do". Dont bother what others are doing. If somebody is interested in CA, why shouldnt he do it even if it is a typical choice and perceived as less exciting compared to some other courses(but to me,CA is definitely exciting)..
Mam, I think you are unaware that Students joining CA is still lesser than Students joining other courses in terms of Number and % also.
Dear Jithin, I totally agree with you and the purpose is not to choose any course coz its new but to match it with your skill set and also to look at current market trend.
Dear Priyul, i am aware of this fact too as i am guest faculty in NIRC .
Dear friends, if you have given multiple CA attempts with no sucess or otherwise too, why not doing some good diploma or certifications side by side.
Why to waste time , rather keep getting some additional degrees which will help you getting good jobs and will also enhance your skills and knowledge.
There can be many courses like -IFRS, CIMA, ACCA where CA's and part qualified CA's get many exemptions. Go ahead for such qualifications.

You posted golden words but it is not practically possible in most of the cases. If any student failed in CA Final for Multiple attempts then at that stage it is too late to start courses taht you have mentioned. He will either prefer to do job or prefer courses like external MBA or M.Com. He can't start other valuable courses due to age factor.
Its never too late my friend.
These courses can be done along with the job. 90% working professionals are persuing further studies.
