dear members i am new to ca club. i am going to appear for pcc examination in may 2010 and i need 2 prepare advanced accounts myself.so pls tell me which book to buy for accountancy so that i can it would be easy for self preparation.i've heard names of some books such as mp vijay kumar and padhuka.i am looking for a book which has problems and solutions as well.pls reply.

Here in Delhi Parveen Sharma's book is popular. I bought his 2008 edition(satellite) and it had full solutions too.

UNDOUBTEDLY PADHUKA IS CONSIDERED AS FAR AS EXAMINATION POINT OF VIEW ( i.e ) to clear pcc & AS FAR AS KNOWLEDGE IS CONCERNED YOU CAN REFER OTHER AUTHORS SUCH AS GUPTA'S , S.N MAHESHWARI.. were best among the lot.
For self study in accounts Haneef Mukherjee is your best bet.

I have both Padhuka & Tulsian But i Think Dr PC Tulsian is best among all. The book have detailed information and is student friendly and is designed particularly for self study. Best of luck
