VAT INPUT CAN NOT BE ADJUSTED AGAINST CST LIABILITY
Yes, VAT INput credit can b utilized for the discharge of CST liability under respective state. One need to note that all indirect taxes are consumption based taxes, if the unit which is subjected to tax i.e. Sales Tax, Service Tax, CST is not consumed within that state / contry then such unit is outside the tax net.
as per tn vat input credit (local purchase only) can be adjusted with cst sales provided the sales shll be effected to a registered dealer in the other state.(which indicate he has to submit c form for claiming input credit) this is the rule of tamil nadu.
Input of Vat is Adjustable with the CST Liability. but Credit of CST is not Adjustable with Input of Vat.Ex input vat paid by me Rs.500 Cst liability is Rs600 we required to pay Rs.100.But in Case reverse it is not available.
Plz send any notification Or Ruling of vat Act

Can I get any notification or circular or any rule for this utilisation
