Whether nil return of vat can be filed

Dear sir,

I have registered my one of the client under the DVAT Act in the month of May, 2014. He has not raised any tax invoice as well as retail invoice. And no sale has been effected. Is he required to furnish the VAT Return for the quarter ended on 30.06.2014. Please reply its urgent.

Mr. Shammi,

You must have to file the return whether you have made any purchase or not... otherwise you will become the return defaulter.! You must have to file nil return if you don't have any purchase and sale during the relevant quarter.

It is mandatory to file return whether no sale purchase transaction has taken place. If you not file vat return then you will become the defaulter
