What to do after CA.

Hello Everyone,

Myself is a CA Final CA Student and have completed 3 Years of articleship in a small CA Firm(Properitorship firm).

I am asking this question based on my practical experience.

I am aware that some of the contents may not be liked by some members, but i after much thought i decided to ask such questions on this forum because i think i will get answers from members who must have experienced such things in their life and how they fought with such problems.

in the 3 years of articleship i have done some work which is illegal, not ethical, immoral etc. and this is not only my experience but i understand that this is inherent in practising chartered accountant profession. without doing such things it is not possible to practice. (As i mentioned above this experience in small firm which may/may not be in medium or big firms)

I even get calls from clients regarding how to make black money white, how to evade tax etc. and really get irritated.

I do not want to do job because i will not earn net income that i want to earn. i want to lead a professional life. I want to earn big but not getting  involved in any illegal, immoral, unethical activities.

My question to all members who i know must experienced such things in life(although they may disagree), what should i do after becoming chartered account and is it possible to earn big without doing any illegal things.

You can be resonbly be bold in your application of work if you are in service in a Public Sector Enterprise, there are some good MNCs also which give value to your knowledge. Doing illegal things knoingly is definitely bad but advanced study and your work experiance and its application will make you competent enough to guide the people in subject matter and add value to your job / profession.

Yes, corruption is a way of life in India. Look for jobs with Big 4 Accounting Firms, MNCs/ NGOs/ Banks/ teaching.

yes, it is possible. what makes the person corrupt is the situation or lack of knowledge.. worng way always goes easy and people always see shortcuts and follow that.

if you are willing to take cha llanges in life then go ahead the world is waiting fo ryou.. there are a lot of opportunities waiting for the deserving persons.

so be honest and you will see the honesty from other side reciprocally.

:) cheers :)

i may not agree with asha on her point that corruption is way of life in india...

it depends on your attitute and the way you are adopting for your career whcih decides on which is the way which leads to life.

Hi @ all.

Corruption in India is unfortunately a sad but true fact. Last year I was there and found several examples.

This year I'll visit the States, when I get my greencards and I am quite curious about what is waiting for me
