its ok if you opted college as private student

there is no harm.

and regarding CA package, completely depends on how you performed while pursuing CA and your practicle exposure

and i agree there are many students doing CA these days but quality is always welcomed

so, put all of your efforts to be a good CA.

First of all, you have not done anything Wrong. But i must say u have taken good decision bcoz u will be able to give more time to CA course.

Regarding Scope and Package, its all depends upon all your abilities and your Knowledge.

There is nothing fix that minimum or maximum u will get.

Just do Hard work and rest leave on GOD. Everything will be Fine.

You have opted correct decision for your graduate studies as One has to put lots of hard work and time as a CA Student.

As far as your pacakage question is concerned there are many CAs who are working on Rs. 20000-30000 pm and other are working at 50000 to 80000 pm.

The basic thing that you need to look upon is that you should complete your Articleship for Very Good CA Firm ( if possible from Big4 )..

Because Practical exposure and your hard work would become the base for your salary package after completing CA.

BIG 4S means-in these companies you will be given exposure in a particular field

where as i advise you to join a mid size firm where you can know about every work what a CA do.

and also you will be able to find your interested area of work

u have taken a right decision regarding ur clg.. its good that u have opted for ca.. and it will be better that if u dnt think about ur salary package as u have jst started this course..

as far as my view is concerned THERE IS A HUGE SCOPE IN THIS FIELD.. IF U KNW HOW TO MAKE MONEY U CAN EARN A LOT...

SALARY PACKAGE WILL DEPEND UPON UR ABILITY AND PERFORMANCE.. THERE ARE SM CAs  WHO HAVE INITIALLY GOT A PACKAGE OF 70 LAKHS P.A. ON THE OTHER HAND THR R MANY WHO R WORKING AT 15000 20000 ALSO.. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH SUNIL SIR..
