A student who has got himself registered for Common Proficiency Test 60 days prior to the first day of the month in which CPT examination is to be held can appear in the examination i.e. on or before 1st April and 1st October for appearing in CPT examination to be held in June and December respectively. The existing fee of Rs. 3,500 for registration for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) has been increased to Rs. 6,000. The increased fee is payable by the students registering for the CPT on or after September 1, 2009.

Registeration for CPT is open Full year. But to be eligible for an attempt,a student must be registered at least two months before the examination,ie before 1st Oct for dec and before April 1 for June.
To appear in an Attempt,u will have to fill in the examination form, which generally comes out in October for Dec and in april for June.
