Hi Shubham, System Auditing basically refers to the audit of financial statements which have been prepared using some accounting softwares in a computer. You must be aware that now a days almost everyone is using some accounting softwares (tally or SAP or any customised ERP softwares). So an auditor has to perform a checking of these financial statements prepared in computer systems. He has to ensure if the software used for Accounting purpose is free from defects. He has to ensure that the software used for preparing books of accounts is full proof. There are several courses for becoming Systems Auditor like CISA from ISACA and DISA from ICAI. Hope all this settles your query. Any further question in this regard is still welcome. Regards.
Thanx for reply..Ashish. I have some doubts.. What are The differences if I do System auditing from ISACA or ICAI. When Can i do this Course After Completing CA? And what are fee structure and course timing?
Thanks Shubham for appreciating my reply. You are most welcome. Yes, You can do CISA (i.e Certified Information System Audit) from ISACA any time i.e even now. There is no such requirement that you should be qualified CA or anything for doing CISA. Even students from science or IT background are going for CISA. But of course it will be a good value addition for a CA to do CISA. Even if after qualifying CA you intend to start your own practise, CISA will be of great help for you in securing bank audits, etc. Its examination is held twice a year (probably in june n december) and there is just one exam. CISA is an internationally recognised certification course. And there is a good chance of getting recruited by big4s especially KPMG if you complete CISA. I dont exactly know the fees. You may check it from the website of ISACA. If you really have interest in Auditing then I strongly recommend you to go for it. All the best.
