What is meant by “ INCOME FROM LOTTERY MUST BE EQUAL TO 2a OF SCHEDULE OS DTAA 115BB RESPECTIVELY IN SCHEDULE OS

I have not won any lottery till date .But the developer want quarterly break-up of lottery winnings. Please help me to file ITR-2, it is blocked after validation (without error) with above error, I am continuously trying for last 3 days. I have remitted around 3 lakhs Tax, (no more dues) but monthly interest u/s 234(a) growing up, every month.

On 28/09/21, morning 6.15 AM 9.30 A.M. I tried to verify more than 80 times, failed, on 29^th from 00.15 AM to 04.30 AM tried more than 100 times, validates without error, but on verification it shows error and ask for lottery winning details, how can give the details without winning lottery

It is technical glitch. Most probably removed in new utility version, DUv 1.0.17 release on 30th Sep. 2021.

Download the new utility & try the validation again. Check there is any remark is there in red ink, at the bottom of the last page, i.e. on verification page!!

Almost everyone got this error during last week of september. Hence they couldn't file return. Unfortunately those with self assessment tax>100000/- will now pay additional interest u/s 234A for october also for no fault of theirs :(. Very unfair !!!

This error is still coming even with the new utility DUv 1.0.17. Is it only for senior citizens?

This error is still coming even with the new utility DUv1.0.17, I am preapring and submitting ITR-2 online, I have remitted the tax, still every monthb interest u/s 234(a) added by Rs.1800, really painful, there is nobody to hear,and rectify, Assesees are bleediing with the new portal

Yes, and income tax department is saying that the glitches and errors are on new tax return filing website and not on tax paying website hence no excuse should be allowed.
