In India CMA means Cost & Management Accountants.  And This Course is conducted by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India or ICAI( Popularly Known as ICWAI or The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India. But recently Govt. of India sanctioned the new name of this institute & Published in official Gaztte.)

You find CMA means Chartered Management Accountants, Certified Management Accountants as well for the words CMA. But this courses is conducted by  different institues outside India.

In India Only ICAI( previously ICWAI) conducted this CMA course. The Members of this Institute can use CMA before there name. The Members of the institute is designated as ACMA/FCMA.

@ To all Above ...Friends It's Not Cost Management Accounting , CMA Means Cost & Management Accountant.

Usage of word "&" is very important in Cost & Management Accountant, It means the mentioned professional is not only Cost Accountant but also he is Management Accountant.

CMA is used to denote Professionals of ICAI( Institute of Cost Accountants of India).

In USA CMA denotes Certified Management Accountant & In England CMA means Chartered Management Accountant. Thus though there is just minor difference in nomenclature ,CMA worldwide is Used to denote Cost & Management Accountancy profession. Example could be Both CA & CPA are same professions but there is difference in nomenclature depending upon country.
