What are areas where exclusively CWA is reqired and not CA

in my knowledge all company and government wants ca/icwa only but preference is given to ca only.

its my knowledge only.

i suppose cost audit is a prerogative of cost accountant...only if they are not found, should CA would be taken

TAX AUDIT AUTHORITY  GIVEN TO CA, DIFRRENTIATES CA FROM ICWA AND CS....

From last  year onwards Central excise audit is also coduct by CA. There is no special area where cwa only king.

Both ICAI & ICWAI are bodies incorporated by law. CAs & CWAs both hv statutory powers. and both Can Practice. (Personal Business). BUT where do we draw the line??

                The statutory powers enjoyed by CAs are much wider in scope than CWAs. HOW? CAs can do all types of Audit like Statutory audit, tax audit, internal audit etc. However, CWAs can do only Cost Audit u/s 233B of the Companies Act 1956. So, there scope is lesser.

                  In India as chartered accountants have much wider scope of practice but in this global arena CMA's are playing vital role as we can see many persons who are double qualified i.e. CA as well as CWA some of them practice as CWA not as CA coz of the opportunity and money they earn.

                  Don't waste time on comparision.

At present  Cost audit under Sec.233B can only done by CWA practitioners only.

Audit under 14A and 14AA now (from last year) can be done by CA and CWA. Before this only CWAs allowed.

A CA will be master of Finance & Account field as against a CWA will be master of Technicle knowledge along with some financial knowledge.
