kuch que simple the aur kuch tricky.

overall paper thik hai. next paper ka dar lag raha hai ab.

i dunno how people are saying this was a easy cum lengthy paper........i gave the exam 2day and it was one of the most difficult paper ever of accounts....

Amalgamation question was completely new........both amalgamation and valuation were reduced to only 16 each.......popular AS's were not given........

holding company question was also rare.......haven't seen one like this........

paper jaisa bhi hua ho it doesnt matrs to a extent wat matrs is how has it been attempted..

also it was expected ki difficult paper aaye..

Paper was very lengthy and Amalgamation Problem was really terryfying....overall...a typical CA Tricky Paper...I think they covered mostly all the topics and have given less weightage to AS than always. Audit Paper will be full of AS realted questions..thats the guess! MAFA...The nest to attack ...!!! Rather Next to get attacked!!!!

paper is good, but lenthy n time taking...........

i could attempt exactly 76 marks..!!

16 marks ka amalgamation...and 8 marks ka ..MF wala big sum....nahi kar paya..!!

but wht i hv done i m sure..i can score at least 50-55..!!

 

as compare to may 2011 paper, this one seems to be less knowleagable and more exam oriented paper.

few AS and impractical question covers the entire weightage...

1) To one friend ,who complained info abt opening balances in Holding co wasn't given. As it is new company; it consists of the Equity share and bank/cash account.Profit and loss a/c and Gen reserve is nil

Couldn't ICAI have written x,y,z instead of all this clinic all clear?? so pissed off, naam k wajai se confusion ho raha tha.

Plus, i couldn't do the mutual fund problem with entries.......

you need to make the balance sheet of holding first as on 31.03.2011
