I am working in a Co. Which is very soon going to start its first Construction Project in Manipur. The Co.'s H.O is in Ranchi, Jharkhand. my question is where the company should register itself in Jharkhand or in Manipur for vat. & can we avail any Composition scheme. Do we require to establish temporary office in manipur?
Since VAT is a State Subject, movement of goods will determine the State in which the Registration needs to be obtained. If there is movement of goods from Manipur for use in the execuction of works contract, it would be a Interstate Works Contract.
