Want to work in finance

Hi,

Actually even im interested in going for a career in Finance; especially manufacturing industries coz i feel our subjects like SFM and AMA are applied in a full fledged manner.there...To be a good finance executive, we should have good analytical skills, in depth knowledge of SFM and AMA, coz its full of decision making....Nature of job would be like

1 Preparing budgets and estimates

2. planning, controlling and supervising finance matters - cash flow estimation, profitability analysis, project evaluaiton, debtors creditors working capital and inventory management, payroll

3. Complex issues - Capital exp planning, reducing tax burden, expansion & diversification, merger & acquisition, term loans... n lot lot more....

We need to develop the skill to work on the above aspects.

I also suggest u interact with CAs in finance job to know more....

So how are you going to approach towards finance feild??

Im yet to clear both groups of Final...so while preparing for exams, i will try mastering concepts of AMA and SFM.....tat is d only way of gaining in depth subject knowledge which corporate india wants......And i wana get into manufacturing industries only....Regarding my approach i will develop the skill to deal with finance matters mentioned in my previous reply......

Finance field is like an ocean....u should know what exactly u wana do/pursue.....enquire for various kinds of finance jobs CAs do n choose d one tat suits ur interest.... .tat wil help u....
