Very confused..need your views!!

dear friends,

i ve gone through suggestions where people have given their views about attempting answers.....some of them say " attempt 80-85 marks in the examination,as it would decrease your chance of errors in exam and improve the answer quality.

on the other side, our institute's guidelines enunciate in clear words "TRY TO ATTEMPT ALL QUESTIONS, REMEMBER 6 AVERAGE ANSWERS WILL FETCH YOU MORE MARKS THAN 5 BEST ANSWERS"..........i do understand that attempting questions in examination also depends on exam conditions and our level of preparations, but then what should be the approach? which way to follow?? i am utterly confused........

mp personal view is that

in Theory papers...attempt maximum possible i.e. 90+

in Practical papers....85-90 is really good

@ anya khali confuse hi raho jitne time in bato par focus koroge ki 1.kitna marks ka karke aye 2.c.a ke baad job hai ki nahi 3.and all type of rubbish and foolish question I WANT TO TELL U ALL C.A/C.S /ICWA STUDENT 1st be focus on ur study everything is like cakewalk I think commerce tough hoti toh humlog 12th ke baad hi science le liye hote Pls dont mind

look friend it depends, ur speed of writing, the depth of your preparation.....but then follow what institute says.........i wish you all the best.

According to me u should attempt all the questions only if u are confident of answers. Wrong answers may tend to

create a bad impression on examinors.

hi anya...........

at final level you should concentrate on writing correct answers.....below average or wrong answers wil carry no marks they gives a mere mental satisfaction which remains till declaration of result.

plz do not write wrong answers which can create a bad impact on your paper overall.

whether it is practical or theoritical paper correct answers are expected from a ca fnalist.

"TRY TO ATTEMPT ALL QUESTIONS, REMEMBER 6 AVERAGE ANSWERS WILL FETCH YOU MORE MARKS THAN 5 BEST ANSWERS" ..by this statement icai is actually telling students not to leave a single question ,where the correct answer is within your knowledge.

icai is actually trying to tell students to focus on time management among those questions , where the correct answers are within your knowledge.

for example if in a paper you know 90 marks overall and if you try to answer 5 answers of 16 marks in a best possible manner you are bound to devote more time and finally u could end up with leaving one question of 10 marks which u know.

u should try to manage time in a better way ..say u can answer 3 questions(3*16=48) in a best possible manner, and answer the rest ie (90-48=42) in a average manner .

but writing wrong or absurd answers and thereby covering 100% of the paper is not at all an option at final level.

I suggest do your best if you know all answers than right all of them... Time management is precious thing buddy...

hey anya.

look it is it will be a great thing to attempt all provided if u know the answers properly, give ur best shot , everything else will fall into place.

and dont worry, this is an open platform...u have a RIGHT to get your queries solved by your friends here, no body has the right to tell as to who needs to do what...feel free to get your questions solved.
