Vat registration liability in case of exempted goods dealer

If a dealer does only trading of exempted goods like books and periodicals and having turnover above of Rs. 10 Lacs. then whether he is liable to TIN registration under VAT Act in Rajasthan.

As per sub-section 9 of section 11 of The Rajasthan Value Added Tax Act, 2003, “Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, a dealer dealing exclusively in exempted goods, shall not be required to get registration under this Act.”
