Generally , the periodicity of  filing of returns depend on the nature of dealer and volume of sales during the particular financial year and  provisions for the same available in the VAT acts of the relevant states .

Which state you are talking about ???? please mentions and refere the VAT act/Rules of the same state .

VAT returns are generally required to be filed on the basis of previous year liability
