There is a MAHARASHTRA seller , There is a Gujarat buyer . So it is Inter state sale ...
The buyer comes at the place of the Maharashtra Seller and takes the delivery of the goods at the same place ....
Question : Whether on sale of goods CST should be charged or VAT should be charged ? ? ?

Answer lies in your question itself, as it is a interstate transaction, CST will come in to play.

But dear PRABHAKAR the ownership in goods gets transferred in MAHARASHTRA itself .... then y CST ???

Hi harshal,
As per my knowledge, if the goods purchased are meant for resale, the bill shud be raised in the name of Shop and accordingly it results in an Interstate sale...
But if the same is used for consumption by the buyer, bill ll be raised in his own name n Vat can be charged...
Correct me if i was wrong...
