there is a special tax rate for GOLD and SILVER ORNAMENTS i.e @ 1%
also TAX is charged on gold,silver,diamond studded ornaments,jewellery ,designers etc AS THEY are NOT CONSIDERED TO B PERSONAL EFFECTS...under the head INCOME FROM CAPITAL GAINS !!.
