VAT application on Job work

Only conceptual advise can be provided by me- VAT is applicable only when there is a transfer of property in goods. In pure job work no material is added ot the material suppied by the cuspotmer. In your case that appears to be the case. If so no need to pay any VAT by the job worker. The sender of the gold may provide documentation which is clear on this aspect.

Hi, can anyone guide when raw material (i.e. gold) purchased from U.P. and then send to other state for job work and then received finished goods in U.P. after being job work done through form-38. Then selling finished goods (i.e. gold jewellery) in U.P. will get input tax credit of raw material or not.
