Utility of current accounting structure

110 views 1 replies
Accounts are prepared for use of stakeholders. Mainly shareholders who need prospective as well as historic information to make decisions. But current accounting structure provides authentic historic information atleast a month after last date of FS in case of majority listed companies and later in case of unlisted companies. My question is why accountants are not preparing statements for future projections which can be used by shareholders. Why cant we move to real time information system where authentic financial information is available on demand as and when required!

Future prediction cannot be certain, because parameters change drastically with global effects, specifically contigencies are uncertain....
Assumption can be made as per recods of last 5,10 or 25 years........ which is easily projected by any software, no accountancy required......
