hi,

i hav to help my friend at last minute,.. pls help me ...he is NRI for the fy 2012-13 & AY 2013-14, he earned and received salary in saudi arabia for 4 months and he got indian salary for the remaining period.. so he has taxable indian salary and non taxable foreign salary... which itr form i should submit and where it has to be shown...and what are all the documents should be sent to the bangalore within 120 days from the date of e filing along with itr form

My employer has not yet issued Form 16, till today (31.7.2013) the last day for filing of returns.

How can we the employees file the returns before the last date, any provisions for submitting without form 16.

To whom should the complaints regarding non receipt of Form 16 to be made?

If your friend is resident Indian, his salary earned in dubai is also taxable in india. Since your friend's employer still havent yet issued form 16, your friend should file return before due date and later on should revise the return if there is any changes on the basis of form 16 issued by your friends employer.

Morever employer should issue the form 16 by 31st may of the next year. Otherwise penaly of Rs 100 per day. But the penalty can be leived by income tax authorities only.
