Hi,
I am yet to give my CA final Group II exam this November.I am so much concerned about facing DT paper. At present i am following T.N.Manoharan's Book for DT. As far as i heard, the CA institute wont ask any new amendments for November it seems. So, please help me on the way to prepare and the areas to be given more importance for DT.

Dt ...........it appears to be a difficult paper.no doubt it is..............but thr are lot of shortcuts for this paper
amendments would surely come.............so get a good hand at amendments,notifications and circulars
case laws issued by inst. would account good marks............thr are good chances of questions frm RTP ...........and wealth tax is definately a scoring area
well.............but thats a short cut....as of now u have good time...............so try to get a good hand at this paper..............and if things dont turn out as expected then go for jugaaaad

Anyways thats a very good piece of advise...:):):) Do i have to concentrate more on the Case laws...?!?! because in IDT i know for sure, that there would be more questions from case laws, but for DT i am not very sure...And this is supposedly November exam, so i am just so much confused...!!!:(:(:(:(

i dont intend to make you nervous......but the gross reality is that dt is one of the most crucial paper...simple reason being the huge volume and the inability to revise it at exam tym........
as far as case law is concerned ....byheart the one issued by icai relevent for nov exam......you can definately expect 10-15marks atleast frm them
and nov ,may.......one and all same.......plan your study effectively..........lot of tym fr nov......you will surely make through
any frther doubt...feel free to ask

For the DT paper, take one topic at a time. Make sure you read them precisely and check for notifications and amendments w.r.t that topic which you are preparing for.
For DT paper, prepare from the scanners available, RTP issued by the institute to get hold of what the institute's being asking for the past papers.
Don't worry & hurry.
