It seems there is a max 40 percent of profit margin that a self employed can show safely without falling into the IT radar. This is what he was told by the tax preparer and one known CA by me. Under profession there is just one category so one can enter self employed, if there was a sub category than one could enter what exactly does the person do. Self employed is taken as business
