my Husband bought a new house but house registration is made on my NAME. he paid registration and stamp duty paid Rs.35000/-.

My query is,  he is eligible for claiming that amount under U/s.80c

Stamp duty and registration fee qualify as deductibles under section 80C of the Income-tax Act, 1961, up to a limit of Rs1.5 lakh. However you can claim this deduction only if the construction of the property has been complete and you have legal possession of the house. Also, make sure that you purchase the stamp papers in your name, and not in somebody else's name.

So in this case your husband is not eligible to claim the deduction as the registration is made in your name
