yash i totally agree with you,sir p c tulsian is the best.i am his fann.i refer his book sinse i was in class 12 and continued upto pcc level.i never took any tuition in my life because i used to refer his book.

schand.com..how ever its nt available in the online store yet...i contacted schand corp office last monday..they told it will be available by wednesday..but seems it is available only in stores at new delhi(atleast for the time being)...i sent a mail yest..i havent got any response yet...waiting for their mail...price is 650/- it seems...waiting for this book,since i already have pc tulsian's book on AMA and OR...:)

When it comes to books for self study and conceptual clarity, PC Tulsian and VK Singhania (VKS for tax) are the best in the business. Talking of Tulsian, I myself referred to his books for Accounting and CAFM at PCC level and his books gave me the confidence to go for self study and skip coaching. There are a wide variety of problems in the book, concepts have been explained step wise, the past  year questions have been completely given,so you just dont need to refer anything else.

But I have not referred to his book for CA FINAL, so can't comment upon that but if his credentials at the PCC level have to be taken into account, I am sure that his newly authored book for CA FINAL "FINANCIAL REPORTING" will be another wonder and will be a great help to the students fraternity.

It will be advisable that before buying the book,you must give yourself 5-10 mins to go through the book and judge the presentation, so that you can atleast get a glimpse that how much it suits your style of studying.

I have followed books of P.C. Tulsian sir in class XI, Class XII , CPT, IPCC, B.Com (Hons) on  all the subjects he has written.

His books and writting style are like addiction. Once you start referring them, you can't refer any other book in this world on that subject. The books are just par excellence.

It is because of his books that my concepts are so clear and I have not taken classes / tutuions for any subjects till now at any stage of my career.

And I have puchased his all 3 books for CA-Final as well and also started studying from them. The results are as expected - Again the book is just as aswm like other books.

You may feel that I am a little bias towards tulsian's sir books but I am telling you my friend once you study from them, you will feel the difference in you

mr yash i do appreciate your love for tulsian sir's book,but sir i have been noticing that you are promoting the books,no doubt the books are good,so is M.P.Vijayakumar sir's book,more over it being a new launch everybody will ask for its review,sugesstion,i request you to give proper revie about its coverage approach etc as you have seen the book and bought it,it is not available at many places still and also online also,i have seen that you are the only one who is talking about the book,that too all nice things,share some drawback in the book also so that review is balanced and people are able to decide properly as many would have followed different authors till now and it is not advisable to change authors from attempt to attempt.

Please not the following points :

1) Firstly, I never criticised any other book. In my comments / posts, I never said that other authors are bad or their books are bad.

2) Secondly, I am not forcing anyone to purchase P.C. Tulsian sirs book. Everybody is free to express his / her opinion. I am only stating what I feel. I never told anyone to change authors from one attempt to another.

3) Thirdly, my comments are based on actual use of the book. I myself have purchased the Financial Reporting book on Tuesday itself and have already done two chapters. Futher, I have checked the presentation, content , coverage and style of the entire book. In this post , someone asked about review of the book so I stated my comments based on  the my actual experience of using this book.

4) Based on my past experience of Tulsian sirs books in XI, XII CPT, IPCC , and my current experience of Final book, I posted that it is yet another master stroke by Tulsian sir.

5) How can you expect from me to necessarily find drawbacks in the book when according to me there seems to be none. You are sounding like how can this book be perfect. I can' t criticise the book unnecessarily. I can't misguide people. If a particular book is nice, it is nice. You cannot say that how can it be nice.

6) Please note that whatever I say, it is for the  benefit of my other CA friends. Respect / love for some book  is one thing and reviews for the same is other thing. All my comments are based on all my personal experiences of using the books.

7) I have written such strong words about P.C. tulsian sirs book because I truly feel the difference in me after reading his books and I want my other CA friends to have benefit of the same.

8) If you do not want to refer to this book, you are free to do so. As I stated earlier, no one can force anyone to do a particular thing.

9) Lastly, I just want to say that if u still feel so strongly that my comments are biased / too nice / incorrect about tulsian sirs book, please go  on a bookstore where the book is available, Spend 20-25 minutes or more  in reviewing the book before purchasing it. Compare/ Judge it from every  criteria like content, coverage, style, presentation etc.

And then if you feel the book is nice, then only purchase it.  And I once again quote, you will note the difference
