Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies how to declare cryptocurrency profits on your UK Income Tax Return (ITR). It explains that profits from selling crypto should be declared under the 'IFOS' (Income from Other Sources) section, specifically under 'Other' and labelled as 'Profits from Crypto'. The tax rate is a special flat rate of 30%, paid via self-assessment, and whether the gain is long-term or short-term does not affect this rate.

Declare profits from sell at 30% special rates under head IFOS...

Then is there any option to declare profit from crypto in ifos

Under 'Other'................ specify 'Profits from Crypto'

Then how to pay tax at special rate I.e 30% by self assessment. and weather to specify its long term or short term gain or it doesn't make any difference?

You have to tick the tab for income chargeable at special rate........

Long or short term will not make any difference..
