To claim mediclam benefit paid by someone else

Hi,

I have lent some money to my friend. Now he has the money to pay me back.
At this time medical insurance of my mother is due.

Now shall I ask him to directly pay the medical insurance premium for my mother rather then he transfering into my account to avoid it duplicating in my earning. In that case can I claim the Medical insurance benefit.

Shall I ask Him to transfer to my account and I pay the premium. How do I avoid duplicate income in such case?
