The Questions you should never ask a CA student!
I hate to be a part of the elite and unfrequented group of CA students primarily because of the questions one has to put up with on doing such a course. Most of the people know the top (and sometimes even lesser known) engineering and medical colleges in
the country and even over-seas. A lot of them know about the famous Arts and Science colleges too. Every body understands even complex terms such as cut-offs, paid-seats and reservations. But when it comes to CA, many of them just know the two terms – CA and Auditor. (and may be, tax returns!)
This results in a lot of frequent annoying questions that a student who does a Chartered Accountancy(CA) course comes across. We (as a CA student community) hate to be asked questions such as:
1) In which college are you doing CA?
For God’s sake, there are no colleges that prescribe CA as a course. There is just one big institute called the ‘Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’ which does the A to Z of all the CA related stuff, right from providing applications for the course, conducting lectures and classes for the exams, allotting exam centres, providing exam related forms and applications, evaluating the exam papers, declaring results, providing the cleared students with a membership and maintaining the members of the institute. The institute has branches across India and it is no where like a regular college. It is more like a professional body which aides the students in completing the course.
2) In which year of CA are you? How many years course is this?...
