Tenure of Alternate Director?
when no.of director are below the minimum no. Of director at then time if bod bod think so then he can appoint additional director.
Dear Somaas,
The Alternate director can hold office for only the balance permissible tenure of original director.
If in any meeting the tenure of original director is expired and he is liable for rotational reappointment as per the AOA, then alternate director shall vacate his office.
Automatic reappointment at adjourned AGM applies only to original director and not to alternate director.
