Tds return rectification

pls give a detailed descripttion as to what kind of rectification required.

Steps for Rectification of TDS Return.

1. Download latest RPU software from www.tin.nsdl.com

2. Select your form 24Q/26Q whatever it is...Most important select "Correction" and not "Original"

3. Quote previous acknowledgement no...received on receipt of original return filed.

4.Correct the Data you...what you wanted to correct.

5. >Create File then >Save file then > Validate file.

6. If validation successfull then....Prepare CD and 27A form and go to nearest NSDL Branch.

[Note: you will face many validation and clerical problems while creating and validation file]
