The assesee has failed to deduct TDS from Capital payments made since Oct 2013 till mar 2014.

He remitted the amount along with interest on 31/8/14. For which quarter the TDS return needs to be filed?

He has to file revised return for the period when amount is credited. Which is october 2013. So return will be Q3 2013-14

If he files for Q2 2014-15, in the column Date of Payment or credit the date will be in Oct 2013 which is not within the quarter?

You have to file the revised return of tds for 3rd qtr not 2nd qtr

Ya. He has to file revised return when amount is credited to the party.

yes you can file revised return which related months & quater till oct'2013 to march'14. I thing revised return for qtr 3rd & 4rth.
