Received order u/s 201(1)/201(1A) for deduction of TDS but not paid. We have already paid the TDS and have the challan for the same.

How to proceed now? Also mentioned in the order that we received Show cause notice but I never received it.

U plz write a letter to concerned Income Tax Officer of TDS circle mentioning all details about that u have paid the tax amount and not received any show cause notice till now and also enclose the Tax paid challan with your letter. U plz submitt two copy of letter out of that one will be returned to u by the department after putting the "received" stamp on the letter.

sec 201 (1) applies when u hav not paid the tds . if the assesse has not paid the tds then assesse is deemed in defualt nd ao will apply sec 220// 221. sec201 (A1) is for late deducion of tds nd deposits to gov. before writing any letter to dept pls check for late desduction of tax nd deposit the appropirate amount interest along with return is deposited or not.
