Tds on transporter

First i would like to clarify you TDS not deducted on payment of any transporter bill if they provide their PAN no. on transporter Bill. If PAN no is not avbl there then TDS will be deducted @ 20%.

In your cases u must obtain the PAN no. of Transporter to avoid TDS.

i agree with your words i read the act also i have doubt whether 30000 limit is applicable to transporter also??

Pls clear the question.

As above case TDS is not applicable on transportation which are covered under GOODS Act.
