yesterday or day before yesterday there was a news - that the CBDT has issued a notfn. that the TDS is being imposed on savings a/cs with post offices drawing >3,500 inteest individually.

now my ? is can CBDT impose fresh taxes or is it only the parliament...!!!!!

TDS rules were well old, post office was under the tax net but not implimented dut to political pressure, now the cbdt has extended hands to post office savings also.
