Hi. On behalf of my client I was updating 26QB form in which I had errorneously updated someone else pan number instead of his. The client had given me cheque in favour of "SBI A/C Income Tax (194IA). The challan is already been printed in somebodies else name. Request you to please help so that this error can be rectified. Had spoken to TDS CPC deparment they have not given me concrete answer. I wanted to know do we have option to rectify this error online.
Mail you query at TDS Email ID, That is the last remedy. I am not aware of any mechanism for rectifying the form 26QB.Only the challans details can be corrected online.

No, You can only rectfiy the error relating to feeding of amount in approporiate column. For e.g if you have deposited interest of Rs. 5000 and by mistake shown it in Tax Column then you can rectify that. This obtion is available while uploading request for form 16B online.

not really.... in most of the cases, banks refuse to correct the challan.
That is in case of manual challan but this link is for online challan correction.
Will there be any option in future were we can rectify errors online. As in my case I have errorneously update someone else PAN CARD instead of actual one. This was in case of sale of property.
