Tds on salary - below taxable after 80-c

TDS 1694 views 3 replies

is it necessary for employers to file details of those employeees alos in salary annual return ( form-24) whose NO TDS is

deducted because :-

- GROSS SALARY IS TAXABLE

- BUT NET SALARY AFTER 80-C PROOF GIVEN BY EMPLOYEE IS BELOW TAXABLE

- HENCE DUE TO THIS , I HAVE NOT DECUTED ANY TDS ON HIS SALARY.

- DO I NEED TO FILE NAMES , GORSS SALARY , 80-C , NET SALARY ETC.ETC. DETAILS OF ALL THESE

EMPLOYEES ALSO IN ANNUAL RETURN.

PLEASE SEND REPLY TO VCT1970 @ GMAIL.COM.

THANKS,

REGARDS.

Have you deducted any TDS during the whole year? If no, then there is no need to show the entry in the TDS Return.

NOT TO BE FILED.BUT RECORD IS MAINTAIN OF EMPLOYEE.REGARDING INVESTMENT MADE FURING THE YEAR.REGARDING EXEMPTION U/S 80 C.

Dear  Vikash,

Expert are right no need to add any details in tds return as well as not required to deduct tds on non taxable income after deduction/investment declaration given by employees.

however, while filing 24Q for 4th quarter in Annex II if we entered non taxable income employee details in a single line, what we received is form 16 readymade without any data mismatch between manually and online

benefits is whenever we need that previous employee details or form 16 we can easily get that format by downloading

again saying its just a suggestion not compulsory
