HI GUYS......

KINDLY CONFIRM TO ME ON THIS MATTER:

WE ARE COMPANY FILLING TDS RETURN OF EMPLOYEES SALARY 24Q

NOW WE HAVE FILED TDS RETURN FOR 2 QTR WITHOUT PROVIDING DETAILS OF HRA EXEMPTION AND DEDUCTIONS. 

HOWEVER, WE PROVIDED SALARY BREAKUP OF EMPLOYEES LIKE BASIC SALARY, HRA, LTA, TRAVELLING. BUT EXEMPTION PART IS NOT MENTIONED IN THAT.

NOW EMPLOYEES ARE DECLARING THE RENT RECEIPT. SO I HAVE TO CONSIDER THE SAME. SO IF I PUT RENT PAID FIGURE INTO HRA COLUMN FOR THE PERIOD APR TO SEPT (MONTH WISE) WHETHER THERE WILL BE ANY DIFFERENCE WHEN I WILL ISSUE FORM 16 TO EMPLOYEES.

PLEASE SUGGEST.

For first 3 quarter you will declare only the gross income and TDs only. you won't declare any deductions like hra, lta etc. In 4th quarter your should compute the gross income, deductions, exemptions and you have to calculate the tax payable and should deduct the remaining tax to be paid in the month of feb
