Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether a business needs to deduct Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) on the purchase and installation of curtains costing £35,000. While a single transaction might not always be considered a contract, TDS may still apply, particularly on labour charges for installation if the amount exceeds the threshold. Advice suggests deducting TDS if the total payment is treated as a single invoice or if separate service bills for installation surpass £30,000.
