Tds on printed bags ?

if only printing work is to be done by other party and bags are provided by you then provsion of 194C will apply.

if printing work is done by some other on contract basis, then it falls under work contract then accordingly TDS u/s 194C will apply.

Hi...It depends upon nature of business activity or transaction. If you are a trader in bags, you can treat it as purchases and avoid TDS. If not, TDS on contractors will apply.

Tds is applicable for printing becuse  its come under contract basis so tds is duducted u/s 194c.

TDS U/S 194C aplicable.

If You provide the printable meterial then TDS deductible on printing value only. If printer raised on his Invoice including meterial & printing cost then TDS deductible on gross value.

If you are a trader in bags, a customer (school) approaches you and orders bags with a specification for printing of some name. When you are purchasing goods, you can speicfy the same requirement to your supplier. You will purchase the bags with name printed on it. The payment is made towards purchase of bags...There is no tds on purchases...
