Please provide me the clarification on following two issues related to TDS deduction.
1. Whether TDS is deductible in case of detention charges paid to transporter.
2. Whether TDS is deductible in case of supllier of waterin huge ltrs.
If possible support your answer with related circular or notification.
No in both cases
For Transporter no TDS U/s194C if PAN Provided by transporter else 20% whether the transporter raises bill for regular transport of goods including detention charges
regarding supply of material no TDS
