Quick Summary
If your employer has deducted TDS and paid it to the government for Assessment Years 2020-21 and 2021-22, but you haven't filed your Income Tax Return (ITR) for those years, you may face consequences. Even if you have no further tax liability, Section 234F of the Income Tax Act can impose late filing fees, potentially amounting to ₹5,000 or ₹1,000 per year depending on the circumstances.

Section 234F is applicable.

You may have to pay 15000 or
2000
