Hi all,

I am a retired pentioner and senior citizen. Recently went to bank and found that my banker where my pension is credited has deducted TDS on my account and says reason being I have not submitted Form 15G or 15H declaration in april month.

Can anyone advice if the TDS deducted by bank can be claimed back? if yes, HOW?. This has happened last year also, due to my negligance.

Many thanks for your suggestion.

You can claim refund by filling itr.

Yes shyam ji,

you can claim TDS refund by filing your ITR.

For previous year also you can file return & claim refund....

Be careful in future, deposit 15H/G in time.

file return of your income and claim your tds.

File your income tax return and claim tds deducted by bank.

Next year submit your Form 15H on time ...

Shyam Sir,

Dont worry about your previous mistakes. You will get refund of your TDS paid when you will file your return.

File your return on time, 31/07/2014 is the last date for individual assessee.

Infuture file form 15 H on stay away from these hazzles.
