Tds demand

Respected Sir/ Mam,

Assessee has received notice of demand under section 156 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 from Income Tax Officer (TDS) for financial year 2008-09 due to mismatch in form 26Q (Quarter 4)  short deduction of TDS and late payment of TDS.

But the assessee has correctly deducted and deposit the TDS to the credit of Central Government and file the TDS return.

The challan is not appearing on www. tdscpc.gov.in in challan status enquiry but is available on www.tin-nsdl.com . Will the assessee get the credit of aforesaid challan while revising the return for the aforesaid period?

Thanks & Regards,

Ramesh Purbia
