TDS deducted but not reflected in 26 AS

ICICI Bank deducted TDS of around 16,000 Rs for FDs, but the same doesn't reflect in my 26 AS or AIS. PAN is available and linked with Aadhar.

What action should I take?

Quick Summary
If you've noticed that TDS has been deducted from your Fixed Deposits by ICICI Bank, but it's not appearing in your Form 26AS or AIS, don't panic. It's common for there to be a delay in reflection, especially if you haven't yet received Form 16A from the bank. Generally, updates to Form 26AS occur within a week, and it's advisable to wait for this period before taking further action to avoid any potential issues with the Income Tax department.

Have you received form 16A from bank?

No, they didn't send Form 16A, but interest certificate downloaded from netbanking clearly shows that TDS has been deducted.

So, wait for their form 16A. By that time form 26AS will also reflect the TDS.

How much time should I wait for them to send Form 16A? Is there any last date?

May be within a week's time the form 26AS will get updated.

OK, if it still isn't updated, what steps can I take?

Advisable to wait till updating (not more than a week) of form 26AS, to avoid any defective notice.

Honourable Dhiraj lal rambhia sir, how the Income Tax department traces the accessories transactions financials how 26as will get all information all or through pan?????

TRACES and AIS are interconnected.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I will wait for a week then.

Updation is yet to be done.

For  Form 16A & B - Time limit is up to  15th of this month

I file for Union Bank of India employees. Their 26AS is not updated, till 11-6-2024 at 10.0 AM.

In this situation, is there any way (shortcut method) to know whether the deductor has filed their TDS return and is in the process of updating by TRACES?
