Quick Summary
Under new tax regime FY 2025-26, if total income is Rs 9.5 lakh, Section 87A rebate up to Rs 60000 applies. Since income is below Rs 12 lakh threshold, full tax liability becomes zero after rebate.

Under the New Tax Regime for FY 2025-26, the Section 87A rebate limit has been raised to ₹12 Lakhs (with a max rebate of ₹60,000). Since your total income of ₹9,50,000 is below this threshold, the calculated tax of ₹35,000 is fully covered by the rebate, resulting in Zero tax.

Thank you sir for your kind and prompt clarification 👍

Its my pleasure :-).. . . . ..  .. . . . . . ..
